What you should know before taking a public course from the Center for First Response Training.
Thank you for considering the Center for First Response Training as your training source. Our mission is to provide our clients with quality safety courses, using up-to-date videos, materials and equipment, lead by experienced instructors. All courses meet either American Red Cross or American Heart Association standards.
After successful completion of your class, a certification card will be issued to you, when applicable. In most cases, your card should arrive by mail within one week, unless otherwise arranged. Complete attendance and payment of the course fee does not guarantee a certification card. It will be your responsibility to earn a passing grade on your test (when applicable) and meet the standards for the practical application of learned skills. Your instructor will make a reasonable effort to help any participant who may have difficulty with the course material.
If you have any physical or learning challenges that may hinder your learning experience, please speak to the instructor prior to the start of class. Both you and the instructor will assess whether it is possible to adapt the class to your needs. In some cases, this may not be possible. It is recommended that you call (207) 885-0904 ahead of time to discuss this. In some cases it may not be possible for a person to earn a certification card if they are unable to perform critical tasks due to a physical impairment.
Full payment is required prior to the start of class, unless otherwise arranged. 100% refunds are given if we cancel a class or if you cancel before 48 hours of the class. No refunds will be given for registered individuals who cancel on the day of the class or who fail to show.
Please keep in mind that required course material is provided and is part of the fee for American Red Cross classes (added cost for skill cards). However, booklets for American Heart Association classes are sold separately. If you choose to purchase these booklets through us, you may request that we order them for you. The cost for an AHA course book is $8.
